Apple have provided functionality in iOS for parents to be able to set certain restrictions on what can and can’t be done on the iPad without authorisation. These restrictions include the ability to restrict access to certain apps, to restrict access to certain content types, prevent changes to privacy settings and even do such things as setting a volume limit! To set up restrictions, follow the steps below:

ipad1

1. Go into “Settings” and select “General”

ipad22. Scroll down to “Restrictions”

3. Click on “Enable Restrictions”. You will be prompted to create a 4 digit passcode. This passcode should be different to the passcode used to unlock the iPad!

You will now be able to set restrictions as you see fit for your child.
